Women and Newborn Health Library (WNHL): About Us

A guide to consumer health information in the areas of women's and newborn health.

Library Services

The Women and Newborn Health Library provides many resources to help you and your family make informed choices about your healthcare and help you understand your medical condition better.

We have a large collection of pamphlets, books and DVDs on all aspects of women's and newborn health.  Information is also available in over 40 languages and we also have a fiction collection for loan.

We have a computer with WiFi access and skype or you can log in with your own device.

A Librarian is available to help you find the information you need.

There are comfortable reading facilities in the Library and a quiet breastfeeding area where we also have a DVD and TV where you can watch one of our health-related titles.

Borrowing Rights

Patients, the general public and WNHS Staff have borrowing rights including health-related books, DVDs and fiction.

The following loan limits apply to all borrowers apart from staff who are unable to borrow the DVDs:

  • Maximum number: 2 health related books plus 1 DVD and 2 fiction titles.
  • Standard loan period: 2 weeks, items can be renewed.

Students attached to KEMH may use the Library but do not have borrowing rights
